Special Assignment - SAFA
Mission and Goals - The SAFA Committee monitors issues
specific to flight attendants on Special Assignment (SAFA) status,
ensuring that SAFA concerns are elevated and addressed. We also submit feedback for negotiations, relative to SAFA specific issues.

August 2010 The SAFA Committee is excited about the announcement of hiring for 2011 at Delta and the opportunity for some of our members to serve once again as recruiters in this process. If you are interested in applying for these positions, please do so by 5 pm ET on August 27th. Interviews for the summer 2011 positions will begin in October (Initial training to begin in January 2011). In addition, your MEC recently extended our approval for a special "super-contractual" temporary SAFA position to help the company address the problems in catering and service. Those individuals continue to serve in problem areas.
